Manufacturing standards
It all starts with the manufacturing process. All the basic components for Gatic access covers are cast to exacting specifications, developed over time. The composition of the ductile iron is tightly controlled and the tolerances of the actual casting process are held to fine and demanding limits. This is because they will eventually be machined to tight specifications in order to achieve the gas and air-tight fit upon which our reputation is built.

Access cover components and their frames, whether single or multispan, are built in sets and accurately machined so that all the parts fit precisely together in a pre-determined order to achieve their gas and air-tight seal. On assembly, correct alignment is achieved by matching the machining marks on components.

Gatic covers are produced in a wide range of load ratings,
to suit any real-life application. When properly and appropriately installed, they can be expected to continue to perform as intended for many decades, if not indefinitely, with minimal servicing. Gatic access covers are built to work in the harshest environments, including Airports and Docks.
